Does my image get uploaded to a server?
No. Everything runs in your browser using JavaScript. Your image never leaves your device.
How are the colors extracted?
We use k-means clustering on the image pixels. The algorithm groups similar colors together and returns the center of each group, sorted by how much of the image each color covers.
Can I choose how many colors to extract?
Yes — choose 4, 6, or 8 colors using the toggle above the dropzone. More colors gives more detail; fewer colors gives a cleaner palette.
What image formats are supported?
